Urban Addict or Urban Addict?

Boy has the name "Urban Addict" come a long way. When I started this blog in 2004, this site was the first search result to appear when you google'd it. Okay I lied, I couldn't possibly remember that even if it were true (but we'll just play along to give the glory days intro that society is used to in prologues. And by prologue I mean of this post; yes I am aware that this blog is most likely entering it's epilogue, now if we can move on....).

Now of course, it's nowhere to be seen and the first result is an equally crappy looking website of what i believe is music group called 'Urban Addict'(it was in french and would've taken too much effort to copy the text and insert it into google translate), and further below on the same google result page is a clothing line with the same name (and level of crappiness, and I'm starting to think that the term is becoming synonymous with crap).

I know thinking that I am the first one ever to coin the term would make me unequivocally ignorant and I would certainly have to be a pompous ass to think that no one else could've possibly come up with it, which I am not (no one to refute one's claims is just one of the benefits of having a group blog with non-active contributors). But I can't help feeling a little faux sense of ownership to the name Ürban Âddict (even though if i knew that urban addict was any one of the two above, I would've without a doubt consider a different name for this blog).

So hey. It certainly does look like this blog is sort of merely lingering awaiting what is at the end of tunnel on a slow and painfull journey to it's eventual rendezvous with the god's of heaven (or more likely hell but for the sake of not encouraging an already somber mood, let's just stick to that). But like all things in cyberspace, the traces of these minute existence take a really long time to dissipate. So keeping up with what has almost become tradition, I'm officially putting up this year's post on our once beloved Ürban Âddict. Of course it would've been easier if I just tweeted about it, but where's the fun in that?
